Sho Yoshimoto, DVM, PhD
After graduating second in his class from the veterinary school at Hokkaido University (2017), he obtained his PhD in veterinary medicine from the University of Tokyo (2021). He served as a visiting researcher at the University of Pennsylvania (2018-2023) and a postdoctoral fellow at Azabu University (2021-present) before founding VetsBrain Co., Ltd. in April 2024. He received the Japan Veterinary Medical Association President’s Award in March 2017 and the Best Oral Presentation Award at the World Veterinary Cancer Society in March 2024. He also won the Grand Prize at the University of Tokyo Entrepreneurship Dojo in August 2020 and was selected for the 1stRound in March 2021.

Takane Hosoyama, CFA
Takane graduated from Keio University in 2017. In 2021, when her cat Liz received an emergency blood transfusion, he realized the inefficiency of communication between veterinarians and owners and the difficulty of treatment selection. This made him keenly aware of the inefficiency of communication between veterinarians and owners, and the difficulty of making treatment choices. This made him decide to start a start-up company that would contribute to the development of veterinary medicine, and he joined Kyoto iCAP as a visiting entrepreneur in 2023.
Chief Designer, Veterinary Medical Illustrator
Amiko Saito
Graduated from Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music, Department of Design in 2016. After working as a graphic designer at an advertising agency for 4 years, she became independent as a freelance illustrator in 2020, creating a total of over 1000 veterinary medical and scientific illustrations as a Veterinary Medical Illustraton/Scientific Illustrator. Her illustrations have been used as figures and graphic abstracts in internationally renowned journals and as presentation materials for international academic conferences.
Development status
We are currently working on developing the VetsBridge system and creating an information sheet, with the official release scheduled for January 1st in 2025.
